Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium

Come meet Kali, the three-week-old Sumatran tiger cub!  Kali makes her debut this week at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma.  Visitors can watch as zookeepers bottle-feed and interact with Kali, each day at 10am and 2pm.

The Zoo comes alive in the spring!  On May 11th, The Wild Wonders Outdoor Theater begins its live animal show, starring Herald, the wonder-dog adopted from the Humane Society.  Get to know the polar bears, elephants, sharks and wolves during daily animal presentations.

A visit to the Zoo is a wonderful opportunity to learn about our environment and the beautiful creatures that inhabit it.  Educational programming includes Summer Zoo Camps for ages preschool through 17, and Zoo Snooze Overnights for groups of kids and adults.  Additional Educational Adventures include crafts, hands on activities and animal close encounters.

Zoo members have special privileged access to exhibits such as Stingray Cove.  The two new Zoom Zip Line and Challenge Courses are open through September 29, and are suitable for young and old alike – a challenge the whole family can enjoy together!

The Zoo park is open daily with just a few holiday exceptions.

Visit the Zoo’s colorful and educational website at http://www.pdza.org for more information.

Enjoy!
